Collection Status Setup

A Collection Status is the reason for a collection procedure (effort to obtain payment).

Examples of Collection Status reasons might be disputed charge, bounced or returned check, or sent to collections.

To add a collection status, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to the Accounting Overview page.
  2. Click the Accounting Setup page hyperlink. This opens the Accounting Setup page.
  3. Click the Add icon located on the collection status child form.This opens the Add - Collection Status pop-up window.
  4. Enter the name of the collection status in the collection status field.
  5. Enter a short description of the new collection status in the description field.
  6. Click the Save button.The new collection status has been added to the collection status child form and is now available in the Collection Status drop-down menu in netFORUM.

Tip: It is a good idea to expand the collection status child form prior to adding a new collection status in order to make sure the collection status you need has not already been created.
